Hello, my name is April Wazeka
I am a mother of two, a wife, and a board-certified pediatric pulmonologist and sleep medicine doctor. Having spent twenty years in medical practice, I am now embracing a new path as a mindfulness teacher. I teach simple mindfulness strategies to help people navigate life's stresses with more calm, and thus "breathe easy."
Drawing on my experience, I specialize in guiding healthcare professionals through burnout and job stress, and empowering women in midlife and adolescents with mindfulness tools. I provide customized group mindfulness training for organizations, medical practices, and schools.
I am a graduate of the two year mindfulness meditation teacher certification training program (MMTCP) taught by Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach, certified by the Greater Good Science Center at the University of California, Berkeley.
